Our Guides

Ricco
Ricco

Remembers how it was to grow up during apartheid and shares the stories with a mix of passion and humoristic angles. When not guiding Rico gets relief for his more geeky side by working wonders as an SEO expert.

Manni
Manni

True Capetonian Surf Dude. He knows practically everyone in town who he greets left right and centre when doing the tours. When not guiding he holds a passion for shining up old cars and growing his own vegetables.

Stian
Stian

Came to Cape Town ten years ago and two weeks later he referred to himself as Capetonian. When Stian is not cracking his worst jokes on the walking tours he writes for various magazines.

Paul
Paul

Shares a lot of personal stories from his childhood in Cape Town. A Rastafari – Indiana Jones who will disappear for days in the mountains once in a while when not doing walking tours.

Ferne
Ferne

Holds the unofficial world record in spoken words per minute. We are very proud of her;-) When not on the walking tours, she takes people on wine tours or enjoys herself at home in the small coastal village of Fish-Hoek.

Lizzie
Lizzie

Grew up in a village so small no one knows its name. She compensates for that with great knowledge of a much larger place – Cape Town. She is a botanist of education and lead singer in a band called Fish Wifes.

Willem
Willem

Our youngest who grew up on a sheep farm and is now guiding walking tours – he claims it’s a coincidence 😉 As a true Afrikaans boy Rugby is the big thing for Willem – Go Springboks!!

About Us

Our mission is to make Cape Town walkable for everyone – It’s as simple as that. That is why our tours are educative while fun and light and run on tips alone. We like to call it “infotainment”. We think everyone regardless of their budget should experience #freetourscapetown. With 50,000 guests, annually we are one of the top things to do in Cape Town, and definitely one of the top ten free things to do in Cape Town. While visiting Cape Town whether you are looking for historical walking tours, want to have a fun walk of the Cape Town city centre or just want an opportunity to meet nice people you should take our tour as an opportunity to visit Cape Town CBD.
